The last part to do was to create both the stereo mix and the 5 mono tracks for the speaker setup. This was a little confusing for me especially with pro tools. The pan tools felt clunky and I felt like I didn’t feel the full effect of the panning until I bounced the file and listened to it. This meant that a lot of my time was spent rendering my audio and going back through it to make sure my stereo mix was right.
For the mono tracks I needed a way to get unique sounds from each speaker with my limited tracks. I went back into FL Studio and split all of the elements out of my tracks, separating the drum kit from the baseline and the synths. This way, I could place the drums on one side of the room and the guitar on the other, while the dialog came through the back.
