I spent this week creating 3D models for my prototype and replacing the box placeholders in the scene. I decided to make my own kitbash set as it seemed like the best way to create modular robot parts that all look like they belong together. Once I finished adding the models to my prototype, I added some UI to help with the testing. I added a text field that pulls the data out of the scriptable object assigned to the part. This was very important to get right because I would need to use this method over and over throughout the production to label dropped parts and pickups.
